Gerry Monty built his name as one of Kelowna's most trusted painting and texturing specialists. Then he met American Clay.
Years of working with solvent-heavy products convinced Gerry there had to be a healthier way to finish a wall. American Clay was the answer: a natural material with real craft in it, warm to look at, safe to live with, and endlessly repairable. He founded Claymasters to bring it to the Okanagan, and became the region's dealer so builders, designers and homeowners could get the material and the expertise in one place. Today Claymasters is owned and run by Spyros Tsoukalas and Michelle DeWinter. Spyros is a skilled plaster applicator with 15+ years on the trowel and 25+ years in professional painting; Michelle matches him with 25+ years of professional painting. Gerry has not simply handed over the keys and walked away: he stays involved through the transition, on hand for troubleshooting, early jobs and training. Same standards, same honest advice, same beautiful walls.
